My dear, dear friend Scarlet came in town the week before Mardi Gras to visit. We had such an amazing time!!! Scarlet, Julie, and I spent lots of quality time together at Dominique's, Bouligny, Cure, and the parades. Scarlet hadn't been to a parade before so it was so much fun watching her watch the parades. We had an absolute blast and the girls loved spending time with Scarlet. We love you, Scarlet--and we can't wait for you to come back to see us!!!

Carnival Time

I love living Uptown generally. I love being able to walk everywhere and there are so many yummy restaurants, cool coffee shops, and awesome bars within walking distance. And we love walking to the Zoo, the new playground around the corner, the Park, and my sisters' houses. But I looooove living Uptown during Mardi Gras time. It's so nice to walk to parades and we usually make it to every parade.

Cute Girls

Here are some shots of my girls posing away. Betsy is very, very inquisitive and asks random questions all of the time. Today she asked me why squirrels store nuts for the winter. The girls like to play kitchen together and dress up and draw. They are obsessed with 'Jake and the Neverland Pirates' on Disney. Obsessed. Now that it's warm they want to be outside 24 hours a day.

Katie's Super Fantastic Pre-Valentine's Day Cookie Decorating Party

Carville Day

Back in February (I know, so much for my resolution to keep the blog current...) we spent a fun-filled day with the Carvilles and we took some precious pics as you can see.

Quick Update

So much has been going on lately so I have had no time to post! In a nutshell we had an awesome Mardi Gras, a super delightful visit from Scarlet, a magical trip to Disney World, and two cases of strep (Betsy) and two sinus infections (Sadie). Oy! Will update with pics soon!
