I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We had a great time in Vacherie and everything we ate was so yummy. I even got to take a nap. Last Wednesday we met B's friend Molly from school, her mom, and her baby brother at the Aquarium. Molly is the first friend that B has made on her own. They were so cute together and held hands and chatted the whole time. We spent most of the weekend at home, because the girls are both sick with nasty colds. We decorated our tree on Friday, and both girls love it! Every day Betsy sees it and says, "Christmas tree!" On Saturday we ventured out in yucky weather to take pictures with Santa. We weren't sure how Betsy would do since last year she freaked out. Both of them did so well, and B smiled very big. Yesterday B spent the day with Gumbo, Bee, Lizzie, and Katy. P and I cleaned out the garage, and worked on getting more organized in general. Today B was back at school. This morning she said, "Betsy want to stay home. I don't want to go to school, Mommy." That was a first. But after a while she was ready to go, and when I picked her up I was told that she started crying when they told her I was there to pick her up. Things are back to normal. Attie and I walked in the Park and Sadie slept from 830 am until 1230. And she slept all night last night; she's been waking up a lot with her cold so it was very nice to have a good night's rest. Tonight we went to dinner at Marme's to celebrate Attie's birthday, which is tomorrow. We ate Reginelli's and cookie cake, and B decorated Marme's tree.
B is saying so much funny stuff that I can't even keep up. She likes to comment on everything we do. Example--tonight after we left Marme's she said, "We had fun at Marme's. We went there last week. Attie is at Marme's." She asks me questions constantly.
Sadie is eating rice cereal, veggies, fruit, and oatmeal. She is really into her solid food. Today B moved into a booster seat and Sadie is going to take over her highchair. My girls are growing up!
