The After Party

After the party Betsy and Lawson kindly helped Sadie open gifts again. Penny Pie didn't make it to the party, because she is still tiny, but she came to the after party and got loved on by the girls. Penny spit up a little bit while B was holding her and she said, "Get her off of me!" Then she started to push her off her lap. Sweet cousins.

Party #3

We celebrated Sadie's second birthday (again) at Creole Creamery. It was the perfect place for a party. Thanks to everyone who helped me make it happen! The girls had a blast making their own sundaes. Momma Lady and Grandpa brought the beautiful cake from Sugar Plum. It was amazing. Check out the fun!

Polka Dot Party Girls

The girls and I went to Emmy N.'s birthday party, and my girls looked so cute in their matching outfits from the Carvilles. The girls played hard, ate more cookie cake, and had a blast. Sadie had so much fun that she face planted and ended up with a big bruise on her cheek--that's why she has a big bruise at Party #3.

Party #2

Party #2 took place at our house. We had pizza and cookie cake--Sadie's fave (or is it my fave?). Betsy and Lawson helped Sadie open and play with her presents. Sadie was precious and sweet as usual. Two parties down, one to go. And the last one was the big one!

Party #1

Sadie's second birthday was celebrated many times. Her first party was at Jama and Pa's. Gumbo brought a yummy cake, and Sadie did a great job of blowing out the candles. She was very proud of herself. Party 1.5 was at school. We sent the 60 (are you kidding me?) cupcakes as requested by her teacher. I'm sure Sadie had a great time!

Disney on Ice

A couple of weeks ago we attended Disney on Ice with Attie and Lawson. The girls loved seeing all of the princesses, but B's favorite part was when all of the Disney villains gathered. Sadie loves Mickey Mouse, and seeing him in person was awesome for her. This was our first Disney on Ice experience and it reminded me a lot of the circus with the $10 cotton candy and $12 lemonades. The girls chowed down on popcorn and cotton candy, and very patiently waited until the end of the show before picking out their super tacky souvenirs.

Happy Birthday, Sadie Boo!

I can't believe that my baby is two years old. She is the sweetest little thing in the world. She loves her big sister and copies everything that she does. My Say isn't much of a talker yet. Well, I should say she isn't much of a talker in public. At home and in the car she chats away. She still wants me to hold her a lot, which I love; Betsy was over that soon after she turned one.

Sadie is VERY opinionated about what she wears. Betsy has never really cared about it. B may say that she wants to wear a dress or a nightgown, but that's about it. Sadie never wants to wear what I pick out and campaigns every day to wear her pajamas to school. She'll say, "I wear dis" and point to her pajamas. She hates changing clothes. Every night she chooses to wear the pajamas we have for B and B has to wear Sadie's pajamas that are a bit too small or wear something else. Betsy is surprisingly very understanding about this.

One of Sadie's favorite words is "my"--my Mommy, my Daddy, and her latest is my Penny. Sadie's manners are incredible--she never forgets to say "please" (peez) or "thank you" (dat doo). Sadie's favorite foods are bananas, peanut butter, and beans and rice. She isn't much of an adventurous eater. Sadie likes to sit on my bed and watch me get ready for work. She loves blowing bubbles in the backyard with her Daddy.

She is funny about taking baths--sometimes she loves it, but lately she is not a fan. We bought bath markers and a bathtime My Little Pony doll, but she would rather just stand while we bathe her then get out. I have one last toy in my arsenal--a fairy that doubles as a bubble blower with a flower that it floats on. I bought one for each girl so I hope it works.

Sadie wants whatever B has. I know that's a common thing for siblings, but it's so crazy. If B has a white fork Sadie has to have a white fork, etc. I have to buy 2 of everything now so they match.

Sadie likes wearing barrettes, but she doesn't really like bows. She loves to wear skirts.

When Betsy turned 2 she was my big girl, but I feel like Sadie is still my baby. I guess she'll always be my baby. I love you, Sadie Boo!!!

Back To Hansen's

We went on our weekend walk to Hansen's. On the way back the girls posed away in front of this crazy warehouse of sorts.

JCP

I brought the girls to the Mall to have their pictures taken last weekend while P was playing golf. Sadie didn't cry, but she was very serious at the beginning of the photo shoot. She warmed up eventually. Betsy hammed it up as usual and was very sweet with her little sister. The photos turned out so cute.
