The Well Family

OK, so maybe the girls have colds, but I'll take a cold over the craziness we have been through any day. I am taking medication to help my crazy vestibular labyrinthitis. This vertigo is getting old; I'm hoping it starts working soon.

We had a great weekend. Everyone was doing well--yay! On Friday night we went to dinner at Mayas with Attie and Beau. It was pretty good, and it was so much fun hangin with the Carvilles then we headed to Sucre for dessert. Betsy is still loving ballet. After ballet we went to Uncle Tommy's office for the girls' well visits and for all of us to get flu shots. My poor Say cried and cried (she also got 2 other vaccinations), but B didn't make a peep when she got her flu shot. Afterwards B and I met Kris and Lauren at Zea for lunch then some shopping in Clearview. You could have your picture taken with this scarecrow with a scary pumpkin head. Betsy named him Mr. Pumpkin and was both fascinated by and terrified him. She kept wanting to go by him, but would say, "Hold me! HOLD ME!" when we approached him. Then she'd tell him hi and that she loved him, but she held on to me very tightly. Peter and I went to a wedding Saturday evening--it was so beautiful, and it was great to spend time with Momma Lady, Grandpa, Bridget, Brian, Maggie, and Phillip. After the wedding we went to Katie and Peter's for a birthday fiesta for Peter--Happy Birthday, Peter! The food was awesome and so was the company, but the LSU game was sad, sad, sad. The girls played so well together. Gumbo gave B a fancy camera and she took some great pics. I will upload them soon. Yesterday we met the Bourgeois crew for brunch at Luke. The girls were angels. We spent the rest of the day organizing and de-cluttering our living room. It is so much more spacious now, but since we moved a bunch of toys out of the living room B said, "Where's all da stuff?"

The girls are really starting to play together more. They especially love to color (Sadie constantly says color) and sit in their pink chairs and have snacks. Sadie is learning her body parts and talking up a storm and says yeah and no and communicates well.

A big thank you to Attie and Katie for watching B today--she was off for 'Fall Holiday.' My girl gets lots of days off.

Peter leaves tomorrow for 3 days in Chicago. This will be my first time alone with the girls for more than a night. Wish me luck! I'll miss you, P!
