One of the biggest things that got me through my early and later mommy days was my weekly playgroup with Andrea, Caroline, Evelyn, Jane, Karen, and Ticia--and the kids of course. We got together when the kids were a few months old and now they are almost four. And now there's a second generation. Since I have gone back to work I don't get to attend most of our playgroup get togethers and it makes me sad. I was off recently on a random Thursday morning so the girls and I were able to hang out with some of the playgroupers. When we pulled up to Evelyn's house I told Betsy we were going to see her playgroup and she said, "What's playgroup?" Wow. It made me tear up a little. [NOTE: I am VERY emotional these days--Sadie started school today and we took down the crib yesterday--more on that later]. We had a fabulous time and the girls played in Georgia and Peter's playroom, painted, played dress up, and chowed down on yummy snacks. I miss my playgroupers!
