8 Months Old

Sadie Boo turned 8 months old on Tuesday. I can't believe how fast time is flying by. Sadie officially started crawling yesterday. She is unstoppable. Yikes. She can say Mama and Dada. Betsy keeps telling her "Say Betsy!!!" We have started bathing the girls together--gotta get a pic. B loves it and the whole time she hugs her and says "we playin. we togevva."

On Monday B went back to school. At first she said she wanted to stay home and play with her toys, which is exactly what she did after Thanksgiving vacation. But then she started to get excited, and ended up having a great day. I wanted to walk in the Park while B was at school, but the weather was hot and gray and Sadie was very congested. I attempted to do an excercise video, but I think I scared S and she freaked the whole time. Sadie has not been sleeping lately, and it's making us kind of crazy. I am so tired everyday. We wanted to implement a tough love sleeping schedule, but lots of crying plus a stuffy nose is not a good combo. B goes down at 8 and we planned to put S down at 8 too. Unfortunately we've spoiled S they way we spoiled B when she was a baby. We put her down when she's asleep. Yes, I know it's awful and she'll never learn to fall asleep on her own if we do this, but even though we swore we wouldn't do it again we have done it. Oops. We got through it with B though, and she is a good sleeper. On Tuesday the Carvilles came over to play. The girls infected poor Lawsy with a cold so the sickies got to hang out and cough on each other. Yesterday Attie and I finally made it back to the Park to walk. The babies didn't quite know what to think and S fussed a lot. We went back to Attie's and the babies are really started to play with each other--S gives L lots and lots of hugs and sometimes she is a bit rough. Lawson is developing a little personality and is so precious--she can say "Hi" and is waving and crawling like a champ. I feel so lucky that my girls and Lawson get to spend lots of time together; they are like three sisters.

B is our little short order cook. At any time we can request that she make us a meal, and she complies. If she's in a bad mood this usually gets her back to her old self. She just made me some spinach soup and coffee.

As I have been typing this, Sadie is fallen over and conked her head (it happens a few times a day and she cries hysterically) and B is playing doctor and checking my ears and giving me a shot.

Pics later.
