The girls are thankfully doing better. We went back to Tommy last Friday and S had an ear infection too. Sadie is now 18 lb, 12 oz and 26 inches long. S still has a bit of a cough, but she is so much better. Last weekend Hal came in town for Krewe du Vieux. We had a blast! Thanks for watching the girls, Marme! Unfortunately S and I missed Patrick's first birthday party because she was sick, but B and P had so much fun. We went on lots of walks this week and got to see Baby James a couple of times. This afternoon we met playgroup at Audubon Park, and B hadn't seen her pals in a couple of weeks. They made up for it by playing extra hard. B and Aidan walked hand in hand to the car after we were done. B got very upset when we got to the car and kept saying, "I want to go to playgroup again!" Whenever we have to leave anywhere and she's having fun she says she wants to do it again even before we have left.
Little Lawsy is sick; we miss her so much and hope she feels better soon!
S is officially done with baby food. She has been eating what we eat. She has had spaghetti and black beans and rice and loved both. She likes smoked turkey and carrots and cheese. She isn't too interested in feeding herself, but she loves it when I feed her.
B has been saying lots of funny things, and I try to remember everything but my brain doesn't always work so well. When I picked her up from school on Wednesday she said, "Mardi Gras is coming up, Mommy." We are so excited about parades; I can't wait to see the girls' reactions. Xavier Prep's band and dance team march down our street every day, and the girls get so excited. After we watch them B says, "That was a good parade!" She is gonna freak when she sees a real parade; I wonder if she remembers last year. These days when B enjoys doing something she says, "so much fun!"
Pics later.
