Playing Catch Up

I am such a bad blogger, and I know it. Anyway, we have been up to lots of fun things--Boot Camp for me (actually it's not fun at all), swimming (baby pool at Krista's and in the backyard and big pool at Jane's Mom's house), Parenting Center for music and art and playgroup, Sam has been coming on Wednesday afternoons, going to weddings (we had another one this past weekend), the girls have been feeding the ducks with Gumbo and having ice cream with Mom and Tim, trying on spring samples at OE, grilling, and Nacho Mama's w/ Gumbo/Bee/Carvilles/Katie.

Hal came in town this weekend. It was good to spend time with him. We grilled and hung out then had breakfast at Surrey's on Saturday. This weekend P has been getting the apartment ready for our new tenant, and I have been going through stacks of papers and boxes of old stuff from our attic at Jena Street. I found 2 high school yearbooks, my kindergarten scrapbook, and a few cards from my parents and sisters. I was so thrilled to find these treasures when I was sure they were all gone. What a treat!!! This evening we went to Marme's to see her cousin Kathy and her family. The girls were so sweet. Attie has been in Scottsdale this weekend--we miss her! Tomorrow is B's first day of camp--she is so excited!

Sadie is just about walking. She'll take a step here and there, but then she'll usually just leap to us.

Lawson came over to play on Wednesday. The girls get along so well, but Sadie likes to hug Lawson too much. They all took a bath together and it went much better than it did last time.

The other day the weather has been nasty. B woke up and said, "Mommy, the funder (thunder) scared me."

I told B she was once in my tummy and she asked if Sadie was in Daddy's tummy.

She has been requesting moovies (smoothies), but she only takes a few sips then says she wants "regular milk."

B's new words--nasty, filthy, lovely, beautiful, delicious, huge, wonderful. B is obsessed with the circus--how does she know it's coming in town? We were going to skip it this year since it's such a ripoff and it's pretty scary, but we may cave in.

Pics later.
