Weekend Roundup

Thursday was our last day with Sam. Booooo!!! Betsy had so much fun playing with her and she was so good with both of the girls. B and I met playgroup at the Parenting Center; the kids wanted to be outside the whole time and it was hot! I went to Old Navy and lunch at Houston's with Katie, Attie, and Lawson--Lawson was sooo good and didn't make a peep the whole time. When we got home I was able to take an hour long nap before Sam had to go. I usually have a hard time napping; it was awesome. Peter and Betsy went to the GJTBS party at Zephyr Field. Peter said that B wanted to go swimming the whole time and he was worried that she just might dive in. Momma Lady and Grandpa picked Betsy up from the party and she spent Friday in Vacherie--swimming and picking Momma Lady's flowers. I thought that Friday would be so easy since I would just have one baby home, but Miss Sadie was fussy--I think she missed her sister.

On Saturday we had our first family outing. We went to the Farmer's Market and PJ's. Both girls were so good--Sadie loved being in our gigantic double stroller and B was happy to have her PJ's blueberry muffin. We bought some beautiful creole tomatoes, baby eggplants, and blueberries and we bought some delicious Smith Creamery butter. Afterwards we visited Attie, Lawson, and Jodi--she was in town for the weekend. Betsy was pretty wild while we were over there and wanted to go outside to see Coco. Katie and Peter came over to visit in the afternoon. Betsy went swimming in her pool and had a ball--she could seriously stay in her pool all day. Saturday night P grilled sausage and pork chops and we roasted the baby eggplants and made a tomato salad and homemade mac n cheese--yum!.

Today we hung out at home. We spent a lot of time downstairs. Gumbo picked B up and they met Attie and Lawson at the Zoo. I ventured out alone and did some errands. We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend after Peter's crazy, hectic work week. I hope this week is nice and calm.
