Both of my girls are constantly talking. Baby Sadie said Marme and Betsy (Bett-ee) this week. She is also waving and saying "bye bye." As soon as Peter walks in the door she says, "Dadadada!"
Betsy asks questions or makes comments all day long. Today while eating lunch she told me "there's a credit card in my string cheese." That comment let me know that maybe she was ready for a nap. Today we drove by the Women's Opera Guild House and after I told her Peter and I got married there she said, "I want to get married dere when I am bigga." Sadie is starting to drink milk and at lunch today B said, "Sadie is drinking milk?! She is growin' up!" B's manners are improving every day. I am so proud of her!
Big news for Betsy--she has pee peed in the potty twice in Vacherie and once here today. Go girl! I want to thank Momma Lady and Grandpa for encouraging her and her cousin Charlie for convincing her to try! I bought her a potty training chart with stickers last week and she was very excited to put a few stickers on her chart. I had promised her a potty present, and today she picked out a lovely plastic Disney Princess cup from Walgreens.
We have had a busy week. B is on spring break, and we have been partyin' it up. On Monday we went to Music class at the Parenting Center. Miss Trish was so happy to see Betsy--she literally cried and said she was choked up because she always felt a special connection to B, B participated with Miss Trish, and they hugged a bunch of times. It was so sweet, and sort of embarassing. The other moms looked less than amused by it. On Tuesday we walked to the Zoo with the Carville girls, and met Krista, Lauren, and Ryan. It was such a gorgeous day, and the kids had a ball. Momma Lady, Grandpa, and Charlie picked B up Tuesday evening to spend the night in Vacherie. They went to Chuck E. Cheese, to see a movie, and did lots of other fun things. Sadie and I went to dinner at Jama and Pa's--we celebrated Jama and Pa's 64th wedding anniversary. Happy Anniversary!!! Yesterday Sadie and I met Jane, Josie, and Henry at the Aquarium then we went to Peter's office then to lunch. Sadie was wild at lunch; she is usually the quiet one and B is wild, but since B wasn't there Sadie had to be. We met Momma Lady, Grandpa, and B at Zea for dinner. B sat in a booster seat rather than a highchair (she's all grown up!). Today the girls and I took it easy and did a few errands, and hung out at home. I'm about to go get ready for dinner with some girlfriends. I'm going to post a few pics.
Congratulations to the Kissel family on the birth of baby Peter!
