B's Surgery

Betsy's surgery to remove the hardware in her leg went well. When she was in Recovery she kept saying, "I don't like this place. This is not a fun place for kids." She said it over and over again; the Staff giggled and said they didn't like it either sometimes. She wasn't fond of her IV or blood pressure cuff. We ended up leaving Recovery sooner than we had expected to. Betsy didn't nap all day; she played with some new prizes and although we were told that she may not walk for a week she started walking. B slept all night last night.

Today she felt better and she didn't take any pain medicine today. She walked and walked and walked. Dr. Warren said to leave it up to her to decide how much she can walk. I am loving being at home with my girls. Today we played with Barbies and baby dolls, we finger painted, we played with Play-Doh, and we watched Dora. The girls also chowed down on Nutella and bananas for breakfast and hot dogs for lunch. Tomorrow we are going to attempt to leave the house--Momma has cabin fever!
Thanks to the Carvilles for taking care of Sadie Sunday night and Monday. It was Sadie's first sleepover with Lawson--Attie said they giggled in bed for hours.
