Swimming Lessons

The girls started swimming lessons last week at the JCC. At first Betsy was a little apprehensive, but then she got used to it. Sadie did not. She hated it and cried hysterically for 5 straight minutes. Peter tried again last Wednesday, but it was a lost cause. Now Betsy gets 6 private lessons. On the first day Betsy freaked out the whole way to the pool. Once we got there she said, "This is not like the crunchy clib!" It took us a while to figure out that she was referring to Metairie Country Club where she had gone with her friend Virginia. She has now had 3 lessons and she went from dipping her ear in the water to her chin and yesterday she went completely under water. Three more lessons to go!
