Sadie asked me to put her hair in "two podytails" the other day before Camp. She looked sooo cute as did her sister.
Betsy and I got our hair cut at Charlotte's on Friday. I am not used to having bangs and the upkeep is major. I tried cutting my bangs a couple of weeks ago and it didn't go so well. Betsy got a very stylish bob. I love it. The next day Betsy said, "I'm ready for my hair to be long again." Oops. Momma Lady said that she was looking at it in the mirror and after ML told her she liked it a lot, B agreed that it was cute.
The girls on the last day of Camp after B's haircut.
B looks like a tween!
Tid Bits:
--Last week Betsy was in bed for about an hour then came in the living room and said, "Mommy, I know you love me, but when you don't love me I still love you." Then she hugged me. She had been particularly challenging that night and I guess she knew it.
--P went to play golf recently and I told B we would do something fun and I asked her what she wanted to do. She said, "How about we hang out here and watch movies downstairs and take naps and stuff?" She is a total homebody. Over the 4th of July weekend we wanted to take them to see a movie, but B just wanted to stay home.
--B LOVES Snooie Bread (muffaletta bread with melted swiss cheese, Roma tomatoes, and basil) from NY Pizza. B now hates pizza and cereal too. She really only likes peanut butter, chicken strips/nuggets, plain oatmeal, spaghetti and meatballs, lentils and rice, and various snacks. Sadie is turning into a pretty good eater. She is trying more things--Japanese eggplant, olives, sundried tomatoes. Sadie LOVES feta cheese and my Cooking Light fettucine and lentils and rice. Both girls used to love my black beans and rice, but not so much lately. B is starting to like hamburgers. Sadie loves "funch fys" with "tetchup."
--S is back in a booster seat at the dinner table (yay!). She refused a booster for a few months, and her head didn't clear the table and she couldn't see what she was eating.
--S and I were lying in B's bed the other night and she touched my face and said, "Kose your eyes." S loves lying in B's bed. She slept in it with B on the 4th of July because they were terrified of the fireworks in the neighborhood. S begs to sleep in B's bed almost every night and most nights B refuses. On the couple of occasions when B agreed to let her sleep in her bed we have had to separate them because they stay up way too late. I snuck in and watched them one night and S was sitting up in bed with her hand on B's forehead and B was saying, "Sadie, you are the doctor. Tell me I have a fever." S followed B's instructions and said, "I doctor. Betsy fever." We let them carry on for about an hour then we had to put S in her bed.
--B and S are obsessed with Dora. I am not quite sure why I resisted ole Dora, but now I have embraced her and her quirky sidekicks and upbeat songs. B counted to 5 in Spanish the other day so I guess they are learning stuff, right? Both girls also love Hi-5. B loved it as a baby. There were only 3 seasons of this show and I feel like over the past 3.5 years I have seen every one multiple times.
